I have had vertigo for 7 weeks, yesterday I had a horrible migraine with bad back of the neck pain.
I am wondering if something is going on with my neck that makes me dizzy.
What type of Doc. would be best to see?
I have been experiencing dizziness so my doctor has prescribed Xanax and she believes it may be intractable vertigo. Since Xanax is not meant for long-term use, she is referring me to a specialist to insure I can get the right medication for long-term use. The problem is, she’s referring me to a psychiatrist and in my opinion, most psychiatrists wouldn’t have the faintest idea on how to treat vertigo. I would think a neurologist would be better?
I am 24 and for the last 5 months I have been experiencing occasional episodes where I get extreme vertigo, my head feels like it is being queezed. I can’t concentrate and it is even harder to think of the words I want to say. I also experience episodes when for no reason at all both of my legs will start to hurt very bad, this can last for hours. Any ideas? My doctor already ruled out depression or migrains.
